kissakai Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Hi Another mei struggle for me Can anyone help? I looked in Robinsons & the Haynes Index but I can not see the full strokes/shapes The closest I got was: * 兆 CHŌ or Yoshi & 作 Saku (made) The first kanji is too unclear for me to look at similay kanji I think 兆 is only half right and thought the first radical may be like the elongated B I didn't add the full tsuba image as I'm sure members would tell me not to waste my money on these low grade tsuba Grev UK Quote
Gunome Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 Hello, Better picture of the mei here: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/D3111-cjSw-Japan ... 542wt_1111 The first kanji looks like "TERU/HIDE" one 英 No idea for the second one Quote
kissakai Posted April 27, 2014 Author Report Posted April 27, 2014 Hi Sebastien Thanks for your comments I have highlighted the image in your link to see if anyone can get the second kanji Grev UK Quote
John A Stuart Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 Very poorly cut. Looks like 喚永 to me. John Quote
kissakai Posted April 27, 2014 Author Report Posted April 27, 2014 Do you think this may be: Kanei or Kanyo 喚永 I can't even find the first kanji in Haynes or Robinson's book I'm obviously not looking for a named smith or school just trying to understand the kanji Thanks for your help Grev UK Quote
John A Stuart Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 I couldn't find this combo either, given that either is correct. John Quote
