John A Stuart Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Hi Mike, If you happen upon a Mino bori kogai I would be very interested in knowing. I have seen a couple Japan side in 5 figures range, just a little dear though. Just on the off chance. Thanks, John Quote
cccthoth Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 Hi John, We actually had a juyo one that was quite nice about a year ago. We will put it on customer shopping list and let you know if another one pops up. Regards Cyrus Hi Mike, If you happen upon a Mino bori kogai I would be very interested in knowing. raiden Posted November 28, 2012 Author Report Posted November 28, 2012 Mino bori or Ko Mino bori? Quote
John A Stuart Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 I need it to complete my Nosada koshirae. Standard hitsu in the tsuba 15 mm. The saya is cut to 9 mm. I add some pics to illustrate the koshirae. The shakudo is very black, the nanako perfect, the FK and menuki are same maker, the kozuka has a boar in the Mino flora and the tsuba has hairyu along the mimi. The kaeshizuno is shakudo and gold with nanako and ryu with the kurigata shakudo with nanako. The kojiri is horn. My pictures are crap and fail to show depth of colour, the richness. There is next to no wear on any part so must be younger than ko-Mino I suspect, but, am not sure. The biggest worry is that the pocket slot for the kogai is so narrow, I can't remember one so narrow. Thank you both. John Quote
raiden Posted December 2, 2012 Author Report Posted December 2, 2012 Can you e-mail us the size for the pocket needed? Quote
