Hi, I think it is the really really really good Enju you have spoken in your post about the Kanji Ichi. It is really a piece of art; i guess the regularity of the kitae and of the dispersion of the nie is the same on the whole blade.

Hi, Keep your money in your wallet, this blade is greatly tired with a very big flaw in the kissaki. Take time to save more money and buy a decent Japanese sword and not a piece of metal.

Hi, Aoe Tsunetsugu was a goban kaji, he worked around Jôgen (1207) According Fujishiro, Naotsugu works exist from Karyaku, Gentoku, Kenmu, Kôei and Kan'ô. Same thing on others sources. Tsunetsugu = Ko-Aoe, Naotsugu= Chu-Aoe. Edit, After further research it seems there are two Tsunetsugu, Toko taikan listed one in Jôgen (1207) and one in tenpuku (1233).

Hi, As promised, Shodai Nidai . Koza states a third generation but it says the sandai signed like the shodai, but with kesho yasuri and was greatly less talented (none oshigata in my possession).

Hi, In place of utsuchi, i would call this blade forgery (gimei) , In fact an utsushi is a copy of a masterwork by a talented smith but bearing the signature of the latter. Koyama Munetsugu made a well known gimei which can be called utsuchi but he was Munetsugu

Hi, Being on a holiday journey, i have no books with me but i can say the Tadatsuna is absolutely gimei (a third generation is not well proven and if it were one it should be under the name of Munetsuna). Edit: mei reads Awataguchi Omi no kami Tadatsuna Ikkanshi (and not hori do saku) -
