  6. Many thanks goes to Chris, who pointed out to me that there are serval types of handlescrews for the Gunto tpye 3!! Now here are the dimensions: screw head diameter: 10 mm head high 6mm lenght for the handle of screw and sleeve around 22 mm hop this helps to get one here in the web
  7. T'ks a lot Chris Unforunately I haven't held any of these screws in my hands 'til today ..... So I'll measure the handle and the hole internal dimensions. This sword comes from a prominent collection, the previous owner, who owned this sword for almost 50 years, told me that he threw away this ugly screw.... The blade in this type 3 gunto koshirae which is like new,(only the original screw is away)was made by Okishiba Masakuni I've already presented this sword here and am currently its happy protector.

  13. own a beautiful Tanto made by" Nankai Taro Tomotaka", dated Koka gan nigatsu niju 20. day second month koka 1 febuary 1844 one side of the sayagaki reads "Michinaga" other side "Tomotaka" perhaps somebody can help me to read the rest of the sayagaki..... Thank you in advance!
