Tomiyuki 1798 - 1875, Haynes H 09820.0

 

Mito province, Tamagawa school

 

Pupil of Hamano Noriyuki II (student under Hamano Shozui) and Tobari Tomihisa.

 

The Tsuba get a Hozon paper 1996.

 

The motive means Yugio-willow, described by the monk Saigyo (118-1190) in a poem.

 

Along the path                                                michi no be hi
a river with clear water,                                  shimizu nagaruru
shaeded from a willow –                                yanagi kage
a rest demand me,                                         shibashi to te koso
i stop - and i´m still be here                            tachidomaritsure.

 

Shakudo Fukurin, the travelstick gilded, the Jingasa in Shakudo too.

 

Comes with special made box and pillow.
