nein sprechen sie Deutsch, but it seems that the elder gentleman is a practitioner of Ki Aikido or one of its derivatives; we use the same techniques to demonstrate ki extension in the aikido association I belong to. These techniques were developed by Tohei Koichi Sensei originally as far as i am aware.

You should be able to use the autotranslate function on youtube. Click CC (should be on the right bottom the player and via options - autotranslate English or any other. I haven't seen it yet, but que'd it :)
