Brian Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Hi all, Being the start of a new year, and us humans being what we are..we tend to put off things and not get around to them until much later. So this is just a reminder to everybody to please renew your memberships to the various sword study groups now. Whether you are a member of the NCJSC, JSSUS, NBTHK, NTHK etc etc....please remember that these groups NEED our memberships to grow and continue the good work that they do. There are so many benefits for very little money, so there really is no excuse not to be a member of at least one group. You don't have to be in their area. I enjoy my NCJSC and JSSUS newsletters, and they are a great source of info. So please do it now. Send in that cheque or money order, or Paypal if available, but don't leave it for another day. 1st Week of Jan is gone. Brian Quote
b.hennick Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 JSSUS Membership You can pay using Paypal. If you go to the JSSUS web-site http://www.jssus.org and click on the link "join" you then can select the appropriate Paypal link to pay. These links sometimes do not work - I have no idea why. You can also just send the money to treasurer@jssus.org Be sure to include your shipping info. Membership runs from January to January. The JSSUS Newsletter comes out every two months. Jan/Feb will be out in March. Any problems please contact me Barry Hennick - Ombudsman JSSUS at barry@hennick.ca I also answer PMs on the messageboard. Quote
Thierry BERNARD Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 thank you for the reminder :D Quote
ububob Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Jean, what do you mean 'almost' It is Let me put in a plug for the NCJSC, monthly color newsletter, excellent photography and solid information and nifty little perks that are impressive. All for for $42 per year. :D :D :D Quote
Jean Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Bob, Unless NCJSC accepts paypal, no way, it is too expensive to have the money wired or sent through western union. This issue has already been treated in a topic I was a subscriber by the past but have given up for this reason. I agree with you the newsletter was very good. Quote
Thierry BERNARD Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Hi As my friend Jean, I am interested in a subscription to NCJSC, but I agree it is not easy and expensive to pay with bank transfer or western union, so if you know another easy way to do, please let us know Regards Quote
Brian Posted January 10, 2011 Author Report Posted January 10, 2011 I'm a member, and have usually found someone kind enough to accept Paypal from me (including fees) and then send them a cheque or m/o. But yes, NCJSC..you really do need to make a plan, and it isn't hard to do. Just add 4% for fees! And I bet you will increase membership. Brian Quote
ububob Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Bernard, I sent you a PM. I can set you up with subscription to the To Ron.. No problem at all. I have done the same for one of your countrymen. :D Brian, if need be, I can do the same for you. I'm only about 40 minutes away from the big kahuna in charge of subscriptions... :D Quote
