Dear Stephen,

thank you for your reply. I am sorry but I prefer to keep a low profile and to not discusNihonto in public, especially not on public message boards. That is why I would like to discuss the sword in question with Mr. Fuller only.

Thank you,

Dick Hardman

PS: While I do not have have to justify my actions, just case you ask why I do not want to discus this in public on a message board:

1. I am only looking for expert oppinions. I am not interested in cheap arm chair talk.

2. Just after I signed up here I immediately got a message from "Pawel Nowak" ... I am somewhat amazed that this group of criminals hasn't been banned from using this board. By publishing my items here the images can for be hijacked by folks like "Pawel Nowak" in order to boost their scam. No thank you.

Well Mr "Hardman"....

This forum happens to have some of the world's leading WW2 experts represented here, including some that can provide info not found anywhere outside of Japan. We have numerous authors and high level collectors, and I think most of them come here for a bit more than "cheap armchair talk"

It is your choice to ask whomever you like, but please don't think for one minute that much better info is available elsewhere.

Oh, and yes. You have to justify your actions. Since I insist on real names here, if you are going to make a mockery of that requirement, then I very much would like you to justify your actions.

As for Pawel Nowak, that syndicate is active on every single militaria forum on the net, and they are very advanced. Most of their ip's have been banned by us, but unless you know the proxies they are currently using, I have no way of banning them all. So please spare us the insinuation that they operate openly.

And the excuse that they steal pics is irrellevant since there are hundreds of thousands of pics available online every day from eBay and elsewhere online. Trust me they don't need yours.

Respectfully,

Brian

Really? I am sorry but I had not noticed this yet. Maybe I haven't read all the postings yet.

It is your choice to ask whomever you like, but please don't think for one minute that better info is available elsewhere.

Thank you for leaving me some choice. I am very fortunate then to have found the world best source of information on WW2 and Japanese Swords.

Oh, and yes. You have to justify your actions.

I shall give detailed reasons for all of my actions in the future.

It's no mockery. I can give you my word that all my friends call me Dick Hardmann. Atleast all my female friends do. No kidding.

Well, I understand that this is beyond my knowledge. I am very sorry for having questioned you and would like to beg your pardon. I knew that members eMail address are set to hidden on most boards but this Pawel dude probably has found a nasty work around and maybe installed a Trojan horse on your forum making all the address public by default.

And the excuse that they steal pics is irrellevant since there are hundreds of thousands of pics available online every day from eBay and elsewhere online. Trust me they don't need yours.

Are you sure? Are there really so many images out there? Still there would be chances they end up with mine, wouldn't it? eI am very sorry but I am even afraid they could steal my name and misuse it.

Yours,

Dick (or is it Richard?)

You have infact found Dr Fuller for it is I. I do not post under my real name for fear of being hunted down by the "Pawal Nowak". But recent security measures have been taken so they are a non factor.

I would love to discuss your artifact with you but since your incapable of posting pictures I will kindly ask you to ship the item to me personally for inspection. Upon receipt of the artifact I will inspect it and provide an expert opinion (<---spelled properly). My time is very valuable and of course you will be charged my usual consulting fee of 3200.00 USD.

I look forward to assisting you further.

Good Day,

Dr R W Fuller

Yep a real big Richard.

I can't wait till the secret questions for Fuller are released and finally see what it could be that Ron Watson, Henry Wilson, Guido, Dr. Stein, Chris, Grey, Ted and the other 20 world class experts that every day of the week honor us all by furthering the knowledge of all us amateurs. I am a dentist, it would take me the rest of my life to gain even 1 % of the what they know and I have no access to Japan!

I praise them the restraint shown even accepting the last bunch of posts - I would have locked it on number 3!

Ya. know - maybe its time there were a membership fee - I'd pay 50 or 100 bucks a year for the information available here

As a moderator, I just can say that Dick, you are transcending your limitations :laughabove: :laughabove: (French saying)

I will make one retraction..we are probably not the single best source of information on WW2 Japanese swords anywhere, but I do think we aren't far behind, and are certainly the most approachable and helpful source of info. The collective knowledge here is way above anything in print in English.

Oh..and if anyone goes into their profile, they can hide their email address from public view. In fact, you choose that when you sign up.

Anyways, I digress. I do hope someone is able to help you with the desired contact info.

Sorry, but I object to the (fake) username, and am therefore deleting the account. You are welcome to sign up under a decent name (and may even use a false name as long as I don't know about it, or have given permission in private)

Have a good day.

Brian
