Bidding:

- AMOUNT is assumed to be in US dollars, not maple leaves!
- The "(username)" part is optional. Only include it if you want your username displayed as the winner on this page.

- You may submit more than one bid, the highest one will be considered your final bid.
- There is no reserve, the only way that someone will not win is if no one bids.

eBay, Reddit and Facebook all have good places to sell lower-end pieces. The issue is that people on NMB tend to know what they want, and what they want is at least mid-range and with some kind of certification.

As you mention in the way you did. will tell you why.

 

Any flaw like that will immediately kill a lot of interest, Its gimei and there are a boat load of shoshin waks out there for the same money.

 

Agree with Lewis/ Rohan, would try ebay.

Even with a double set of (bad) photos, with a lacquered SHIRA-SAYA and a KIZU like that it will generally be difficult to sell, I think.

Starting here on NMB with an auction and no introduction is another thing.

You could try walking it into an arms or militaria fair near you and see how that pans out? You probably won't get a great deal just selling it, but you could maybe trade up to something you like more. 

 

Whatever you do, I hope it works out better than trashing the blade.
