   Hi.

I been trying to establish if this is or not.  But that has been a harder task than I had imagined 🥲 been accused for fraud with times and no answers at all.
Even I have not tried to sell. I want to buy, but need to know if it’s real or not.

Hope there is someone that at least can guide me on the way.

  Thanks in advance

 happy days

real or not.

The sword is most likely fake, however can we get a picture of the kozuka (small knife with handle).

In this instance, the writing doesn't really matter. It would be like if someone was looking for Thor's hammer and found a hammer with ancient writing on it. Before reading the writing on it, a fiberglass handle would tell you all you need to know.

Same thing here

As mentioned, what the writing says isn't important, as it isn't what led to the call of fake. The item is 100% fake, so the writing is pointless. There is nothing here really looking real at all. It's an easy call.

Dear sirs.

I have absolutely nowhere to clue about these swords, beforehand.
So I’m very interested in why so quick it can be said it’s a fake.

Please sign all posts with your first name so we could address you in a polite manner. It is a rule here on NMB. You can integrate your name in your profile for convenience.

Identifiying your sword as non-Japanese imitation is very easy in case you have some experience with these weapons. In your case, there is nothing that has a resemblance with authentic items. You can see that yourself by comparing.

To recognise a fake you first need to know what the real thing looks like, all the component parts, blade, fittings etc.You need to understand quality and artistry. That takes time and determined study. Or you can deliberately study fakes…..there are dedicated topics on this forum for that purpose. Once you have done that you will be able to tell the difference. It takes some effort. Every component of your sword sadly screams fake from the rooftops……but only when you know what you are looking at.

Unfortunately, the kogatana appears fake as well. It has the shape of a steak knife rather than a legit kogatana. In terms of recognizing a fake (or reproduction), like others have said it just takes time and study. An analogy would be studying BMWs for years, knowing their history, manufacturing plants, where their parts are sourced, body styles, series numbers, etc. Then a friend shows you a volkswagen and asks if it is a legit BMW. You can see in a second that it isn't.

As other said, it's not so much looking at what fakes look like, it's more knowing what real ones look like, then when you see something like this...nothing looks like the real thing.
Spend some time checking out pics of real sword and reading through the forum and you'll soon see the differences. You need to get some real ones in front of you too. Every country has somewhere you can see real ones.
