DESCRIPTION:

The blade is signed "Yasushige 靖繁", dated "Showa Juroku-nen Ichi-gatsu kichi-jitsu (lucky day Jan., 1941) 昭和十六年一月吉日”, shinogi-zukuri shape, before WWll time made blade. Yasushige`s real name is Abe Shigeo, born in 1911. He made swords as a Yasukunito sword smith at the Nihonto Tanrenkai located on the ground of the Yasukuni shrine.     

 

 The blade is in old polish, shows fine scratches but no rust, no stain and in decent condition. There is no nick, no bend, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. The temper line is wavy chusuguba temper pattern throughout the blade and has deep temper at the point.         

 

The scabbard is heavy metal, no dent, no crack, no bend and in good condition. The handle is tightly fit, tsuka-ito wrapping is no cuts, no loose also in good condition. Lock mechanism works fine. Tsuba, seppa and lock pin are matched number 1 stamped.      

It measures 26+3/4" tip to the guard, 25+5/8" cutting edge, 1+1/8" width, 6.5 mm thickness at the notch and 39" in mountings.

Boyz Im posting offer from same seller as @Gerry posted back in may. Then it was around 6k$. I didn't bought this etc. Still we can get value thx to @Volker62
