New member-another sword

Thanks to all the members who have helped me with my first post. I have another sword that I would like to learn more about. This one is very small and appears to be more of a ceremonial type than my other sword. Can anyone tell me what it is and it's use? I have attached several pictures.

Some might say Boy's Day sword, but because of a strange curve in the nakago and lack of ornamentation on the kodogu, my guess is some sort of tourist trinket or out right fake. Doesn't look like Nihonto to me.

Good Morning all,

 

I've seen a few in this style, I believe they are mostly from the 1920' & 1930's often with a Tachi kake and an accompanying Yumi Ya set to flank mid to upper end Gogatsu Ningyo (May 5th - Boys Day) Armours.

 

The blades are ferrous, with a thin chromium plate and fake hamon, rust comes through readily.

 

They were often supplied in plain wood boxes, sold as a set, the best quality were manufactured by Maruhei of Kyoto and Tanimoto in Osaka (The latter factory bombed in 1945 did not continue after the war).
