Jim, Most of that is fairly easy, and certainly good material for attacking the Japanese language.

It is NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho paperwork from Showa 46, for a Tempo Wakizashi owned by a Rodini (Rodney?) J Henriksen. How much detail do you want?

The mei on the paper may be 大和守藤原朝臣延壽正勝 (Yamato no kami Fujiwara no Ason Enju Masakatsu). I suspect that “和守” and “朝臣” parts are written as one temporarily created kanji(s) respectively.

The date is 天保十亥孟冬六十九翁作 (Tempô ju I Môtô, roku-ju-kyu Okina? saku). It means “Early winter in 1839, an old man of 69 made (this)".

 

BTW, the description of the length is more pricisely 1-shaku 3-zun 05-rin (一尺三寸〇五厘).

Well I would like to get as much as possible. Once we have figured everything out and what it says we will be Listing for sale on this site. We also have found 3 more complete swords.
