Mark Posted June 25, 2022 Author Report Posted June 25, 2022 Ray thanks! does it have any meaning? maybe the name of the owner or similar? seems a bit unusual. appreciate it mark Quote
Ray Singer Posted June 25, 2022 Report Posted June 25, 2022 Hi Mark, Motosato/Motozato is indeed a surname. Unfortunately I'm not able to decipher the last character on the reverse side and I'm unsure of the meaning. Best regards, Ray Quote
Mark Posted June 25, 2022 Author Report Posted June 25, 2022 i appreciate you taking a look. thanks! 1 Quote
SteveM Posted June 25, 2022 Report Posted June 25, 2022 I think its あきら (Akira), a man's name. I think the ら is made difficult to read by indents in the habaki which are unrelated to the engraved name. So the whole thing is a name: Motosato Akira (could also be Motozato). 2 Quote
