Is this a nick on the blade or general damage from aging.

Hi all.

 

The images attached show what looks to me like a very small nick / damage on the lower Ha.  And I'm just wondering if the more keen eyed experienced members know what might have caused it. The sword is edo period ,kanbun era o wakazashi 54cm. 

 

Might just be nothing, I'm just very curious.
