Bruno Posted February 28, 2021 Report Posted February 28, 2021 Hi all, Are all star stamped gendai-to always garanteed 100% flawless regarding forging flaws, or it is possible to find kizu on them? If they can have kizu or kitae ware, can they be removed by a traditionally trained togishi? Finally, did you ever find forgind flaws on your star stamped gendai-to you own(ed)? Thank you Quote
Brian Posted February 28, 2021 Report Posted February 28, 2021 Like any real Japanese sword, it is possible to find flaws. I don't have any on mine, but you will find them for sure. The star stamp was no guarantee of perfection and quality varies. Plus, they were still weapons, and a visual flaw would not have seen it rejected for use. 1 Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted February 28, 2021 Report Posted February 28, 2021 Absolutely not, even Yasukuni-To, Minatogawa-To etc can have flaws. 1 Quote
Bruno Posted March 1, 2021 Author Report Posted March 1, 2021 Thanks Brian and John. I don't remind having read many topics about flaws on WW2 gendai-to, hence my question. Quote
