RobertM Posted November 13, 2008 Author Report Posted November 13, 2008 Would it be possbile to get an english translation? An online translation tool reads it as: 瑞気、堂に満る air, in hall full 如意寺を訪ねて Visiting the 如 mind temple 千紫萬紅 Thousand purple 萬 crimson Am i right in reading that the artists name is either Masaharu or Shoji? many thanks for your assistance robert M Quote
Nobody Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 瑞気満堂 – a conventional phrase = An auspicious sign fills the hall. 如意寺を訪ねて = Visiting Nyoi-temple 千紫萬紅 – this is also a conventional phrase = literally, thousand purple and ten thousand crimson ---> means a dazzling variety of beautiful flowers Quote
Carlo Giuseppe Tacchini Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 Moriyama san, ...Am I missing something here? Might be Morita san was asking for a translation in english by Moriyama San. Something like "working in team". Quote
