Thank you Bruce.  I am also intrigued by the leather one.  It appears very intricate, but all leather?   Any further comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You for your reponse.  I have searched everywhere for another example and have not found one.  I have a pretty good library, but no luck with finding one.   An Improvised example as you said probably field made.

Hi Everyone 

On the topic of tassels,,,,, I recently bought some Japanese bits for my collection and this was in a small pouch in the box. Is it a late version of the NCO leather tassels or could it be field made………?????? Your views will be much appreciated.

That's a peculiar one, Jeff.  Clearly has age appropriate to the war.  Your guess is as good as any.

I have tried having a look at on line but I’m scratching my head with this, it was in a plain white cotton bag. Must be an odd thing if you guys don’t know anything. I’ll just keep it and put it with the collection and maybe one day it may be revealed what it’s for,,,,,,,,thanks guys! 👍
