Nobody Posted September 6, 2019 Report Posted September 6, 2019 On the tsuba: 日本の開眼 鹿児島百年展 - An awakening of Japan, An exhibition for the 100th anniversary of Kagoshima (But I am not sure about red characters.) The tsuba is a replica as a memento casted by Nakamura Shinya who was an assistant professor of Kagoshima university according to the paper. 2 Quote
Curran Posted September 6, 2019 Report Posted September 6, 2019 To add a bit, the design of the tsuba is one associated with or commonly attributed as a 'Satsuma' tsuba. I think Tanobe-san owns a particularly nice example of this design. Quote
