Hello I am looking for info on this blade. as a novice I know nothing , but it spoke to me . So its mine I thoroughly love looking at it . The man I bought it from is in Japan but I received very little info on it. Looking for your help. Sorry for the bad pic's ...just taking a pic is a chore they never look right  Thankx John N

Appears at first glance to be a shinshinto blade. The overly pronounced jihada made of mixed steel (with harder layers strongly visible within the forging) is often seen from that time period. My impression is that this is a later blade made to emulate an o-suriage koto.

Thank you Once again Ray . I value your opinion very much , and will try for the 2019 San Francisco  Shinsa  

 

Hi All,

I was under the impression that the 2019 shinsa  was being held in Tampa ,Florida .

If there is a San Francisco Shinsa could some one please provide a link or details.
