Pete Klein Posted September 19, 2018 Report Posted September 19, 2018 Recently in from Japan. I've been waiting to find a Heianjou Zogan tsuba for some time now which was a bit out of the ordinary. I hope you find it interesting: 9.7 cm x 4mm, 185 g. To me the use of different colors is intriguing. There are two rather old lacquer fills on the omote where gourd inlays had been lost. I've not come across this before. 5 Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted September 20, 2018 Report Posted September 20, 2018 Very nice, Pete! All three of the ana are unlike anything I've seen before. It's a keeper, but if you ever decide to let it go... Quote
Brian Posted September 20, 2018 Report Posted September 20, 2018 Intriguing and very pleasant. Nice iron, and very good work. I can see why it appeals. Quote
