Nickupero Posted February 19, 2018 Report Posted February 19, 2018 Hi Guys, offering up this lovely little Tanto signed "Bishu Osafune Norimitsu", accompanied with new NTHK-NPO papers. They specify it being from Tenbun 天文 (circa 1532AD), I believe this generation is Wazamono ranked. The koshirae is a nice one, appears to be solid silver... real heavy saya with a nicely chiseled motif. Set is quite pristine, only thing missing is the other gold flower fitting at the entrance of the Mekugi-ana. Pictures do not do it justice, if you've ever had the pleasure photographing silver surface then you would know its really difficult. If you would like more details send me an email. Not looking to make much on this one so offering it to members at $4,250 US plus shipping and any related fees. Bank wires preferred but will also take paypal. Donation will be given if sold here.
Nickupero Posted February 23, 2018 Author Report Posted February 23, 2018 Thanks Kurt! I'm going to add a reduction, from $4,250 to now $3,850 plus fees, only untill this Sunday then I'll ask mods to remove the listing altogether.
Henry Wilson Posted February 23, 2018 Report Posted February 23, 2018 Crickey that is nice. If it was located in Japan I would not hesitate... Some one is going to be very lucky.
Vermithrax16 Posted February 24, 2018 Report Posted February 24, 2018 Unique piece with plenty to admire.
Nickupero Posted February 25, 2018 Author Report Posted February 25, 2018 Funny thing Henry, piece was in Japan about 1 month ago. Thanks Hamfish and Jeremiah, surprised it hasn't been snatched up. The blade didn't come out close to what it looks like in reality, the flash had something to do with it. Last little bump before its pulled. If mods can delete the listing tomorrow (Monday Eastern standard time). Thanks again to everyone who took the time to take a look.
