vajo Posted October 17, 2017 Report Posted October 17, 2017 I found a nice looking tanto koshirae in the i-net (with ivory and ebony wood). Did you know if that kind of koshirae had a special name or school? Did you know if i want to import it from Japan to germany is there any import regulations in case of CITES? I ask, because yesterday i had some trouble with our customs because of a old saya and the officer tells me that some Magnolia woods are protectet and forbidden to import. Quote
Brian Posted October 17, 2017 Report Posted October 17, 2017 It has ivory on it, and you are worried about the wood? I don't know about Germany, but if like most of the rest of the world lately, it can be a huge problem. Quote
vajo Posted October 17, 2017 Author Report Posted October 17, 2017 Ebony wood also Brian. I ask what i need to import. Is it enough if the seller fills out a CETIS form? I don't know. Quote
Willowyck Posted October 17, 2017 Report Posted October 17, 2017 Ebony wood only needs cites when it comes from Madagaskar. You can buy it easily in Germany for knife handles. Quote
