Japan auctions Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 Tucked in the obi sash, this heavy kabuto wari was a formidable weapon. But stylish, too. Fine copper work with karakusa vines. Lovely iron aji (patina). Subtle sori curve. Rare. Bought from armor specialist with over 40 years experience in the business. Guaranteed authentic Edo era. Material: Iron, copper. Size: 44.5cm (17.8”) about 320g Buy on ebay, or direct. Ebay start price $399.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/132076968425?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 See my other kabuto wari, and other items on ebay now. Kelly
Brian Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 Kelly, When you say "buy direct" can you give a price you will accept here, or is it the eBay BIN price? Thanks, Brian
Japan auctions Posted January 29, 2017 Author Report Posted January 29, 2017 HI Brian, I'll give for 10% off start price. Of course, if it gets a bid, then I can't cancel~ Lots of watchers, even it just started a few hours ago on ebay. Still 6 days to go. Cheers, Kelly
md02geist Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 You can cancel with bids, just not within 12 hours of auction end.
Japan auctions Posted January 29, 2017 Author Report Posted January 29, 2017 Thanks for your mail. Actually, I tried this recently, but ebay said, because I had canceled an auction a few months earlier, in order to "avoid disappointing bidders" too often, they would charge me. Which they did. The full 10% on a $3000 kabuto. Ouch! Kelly
vajo Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 Excuse my question. I know hachiwari but no kabutowari. Is this a truncheon? As a battlefield weapon it makes no sense for me. Thanks Chris Edit: I found an answer. Thanks
