Marius Posted November 2, 2016 Report Posted November 2, 2016 O-Tanto signed "Norishige". Out of a Japanese collection, this blade was treated as a genuine Norishige and family treasure (hence that expensive habaki). Could be the work of Gassan Sadakatsu when he was forging (pun intended) such swords in order to survive. In any case, interesting example of how mixed steel has been used to create a Norishige-like appearence. A good beginner sword. If the signature proves to be genuine, I will take it back and refund you twice the amount you paid More pictures: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/dibx3soy570y9po/AABPRNp73ifuilS3f-ImebdKa?dl=0 $750 incl. shipping to US and Europe (for other countries, ask for a quote).
