Prewar70 Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 So here's the mei, and I think it is Bishu Osafune Sukesada. I'm starting to recognize some kanji, the Bishu Osafune is an easy one to remember. What is the 3rd kanji up from the bottom? I've seen this on other Bishu Osafune blades too. 2 Quote
Geraint Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 Hi James. The third kanji up would be the fune part of Osafune. You are right, once you start to recognise the basic kanji it does get a little easier. All the best. Quote
Prewar70 Posted May 18, 2016 Author Report Posted May 18, 2016 I thought that the entire 3rd kanji from the top is all of osafune. Sometimes I have seen it separated, top and bottom, but mostly together. Quote
ROKUJURO Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 James, there are always two KANJI for OSAFUNE, FUNE meaning 'boat'. Quote
