Is anybody able to see the text correctly and copy/paste it for me? (yes, I do have Japanese language installed - other Japanese sites shows well)... John A Stuart Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 名刀 一閃 末関鍛冶の名流 志津三郎兼氏九代 孫 銘 「陸奥守大道」 前銘 「兼道」「大兼道」 時代 安土桃山時代・・・天正・文禄ころ（約410年くらい前）。 国 美濃之国→→山城之国西の洞院夷川に住す。 NO.065 名刀 一閃 末関鍛冶の名流 志津三郎兼氏九代 孫 銘 「陸奥守大道」 前銘 「兼道」「大兼道」 時代 安土桃山時代・・・天正・文禄ころ（約410年くらい前）。 国 美濃之国→→山城之国西の洞院夷川に住す。 法量 刃長1尺1寸7分(35,4cm)・反り1分3厘(0,4cm)・目釘穴3個 元幅8分5厘(2,57cm)・元重ね1分7厘(0,52cm) 先幅7分6厘(2,3cm)・先重ね1分3厘(0,4cm) 形態 身幅尋常な平造り寸延び短刀体配で健全かつ優美な刀姿です。 地鉄 板目に杢目交じり流れ心に地沸付き地景入り白気映り立つ良い地鉄と鑑る。 刃文 沸出来小沸良く付き互の目丁子乱れ尖り刃交じる、小足・葉良く入る。 帽子 湾れ込んで尋常に小丸に返る。 茎 生ぶ、浅い勝手下がり鑢目、先栗尻です。 彫り物 表裏棟寄りに刀樋を掻き流す。 拵え 錦布包み鞘脇差小さ刀拵え、鍔・縁頭・目貫・栗形象牙雲竜高彫、鯉口・鐺象牙無地磨き地、柄下地錦布白糸蛇腹巻き、小柄は黒檀地象牙口に高彫這竜の図、本拵えは極めて珍しい装剣具の材料に玉石・象牙・珊瑚を多用した物を別名「芝山象嵌(細工)」と云う。芝山象嵌は安永年間(1722年～1781年)当時下総之国芝山(現在・千葉県山武群芝山町)に住した印籠師象嵌工の大野木専蔵の考案によるところ大で専蔵は、江戸へ移住し名も「芝山専蔵」と改め芝山象嵌・細工の表現技法を広く世に知らしめた。鞘の錦も経年変化によると思われる渋茶色に変色しておりますが芝山象嵌装剣具の豪華さを引き立て全体良く調和する。金着せ二重に鳩目入り上製白鞘入りです。 備考 本工「陸奥守大道」は、志津三郎兼氏九代・孫と称し兼道同人で永禄年中に伊賀守金道・来金道・丹波守吉道・越中守正俊・四人の子供共々上京し西の洞院夷川に住す、刀剣界では三品派と呼ぶ永禄十二年(1569年)正親町天皇から「大」一字を下賜され以後「大兼道」と切り銘す後、陸奥守を受領し「大道」と改める。四兄弟に近江守久道を加えて京五鍛冶と云う。陸奥守大道は、京三品派の祖で有り後、金道家が各地鍛冶の受領斡旋を行う事になり江戸期を通じ絶大な権力を保持した礎を築いた偉大な鍛冶で有ると同時に末関鍛冶の掉尾を飾っる名工でも有りました。研摩済みで１円のお金もかける必要は、有りません。 登録 昭和62年02月24日・岐阜県登録・第62983号 鑑定 平成03年12月09日・特別保存刀剣鑑定書附き・第122744号 価格 売却済 Quote

John, thank you for posting the text, so its readable... or... hehe... I run the text through google translate... That is REALLY funny reading... I laughed so hard I fell of the chair Anybody know a better translator for Japanese? Unfortunately it didnt make much sense?! Quote
