  1. If it is authentic is it still worth it considering the condition
  2. Hi hate to hav to post this but need help since Im thinking of buying I’ve been looking for a older sighted sword but don’t want to make a 2000 mistake ! I need help with the age I think it’s a Shinto late Koto 26.772 inch blade Is the signature is ok and condition of blade description Nagasa/ Blade length: 68 cm Overall length in scabbard: 101.5 cm Koshirae/Fittings high quality, with original tassle. Lacquer on wood scabbard. Has silver mon.I believe it’s Blade: Reasonable polish, lots of activity, very very nice (albeit hard to photograph). The blade has bee well cared on has a scent of choji oil. No nicks, some areas of fade to polish. In hand the sword is very nice. The only blemish is that previously, Surely when fitted out with Gunto koshirae, the habaki was moved up a short distance, with the Nagasa being slightly shortened and under the habaki are marks.
  3. I will check Here is a better picture Nagasa/ Blade length: 68 cm Overall length in scabbard: 101.5 cm

  8. I was able to get a copy a page of John slough from a friend so it pretty much answers my questions These swords were made outside of Japan The best examples of these swords we’re produced in Japan so unless u know for sure it may not be the better one
  9. Any body hav additional information regarding this sword My concerns are is it forging process I did read the Japanese pours iron info a tube so it’s soft on the inside and hard on out side thus preventing it from breaking under extreme cold What we’re the different types of experimental steel ? It’s also noted that they we’re considered traditional! But I don’t think they folded in the traditional way! I thought they were rare until I read what Bruce said they cranked out 400 a month and a total of 38000 during WW2
