  5. Here’s some more pictures without the excess oil The sword looks pretty clean both sides no nicks Woody did his magic and removed scratch's and other issues Not a full polish just touch ups ! I’m surprised you cant tell it was ever fixed The hamon looks like little hills I’m guessing it’s the smiths style Anyway I’m very pleased now Steve

  12. I’m reading these post and am a bit upset because I’m trying to sell a sword to a guy in England I never had any issues selling to France ! However if they are using X-ray scanners it doesn’t really matter ! Maybe they should ban kitchen knives next They can be concealed !! Steve
  13. Swords In full polish The polish alone cost nearly as much as what what the sword cost Basically you are getting the sword for free 2500 + 100.00 ships priority with insurance Steve

  14. I wanted to thank everyone for their advice getting the mekugi out of the TSUKA and the blade issue Steve
  15. good to know Thanks George
  16. Why would I do something stupid like that
  17. Only temporary until I find a better mekugi
  18. Finally I used the awl from the cleaning kit pounded it with the point end and it broke into small pieces left from the peg Than I cut a new peg to fit from a chop stick Thanks for everyone’s help
  19. I will try thanks for that info guys I don’t know why the hell I said scabbard Having senior moments kind of scary 😱
  20. I can’t see day light but looks like wood inside Even if there’s. Wood inside the hole shouldn’t the scabbard come off without forcing it ? The peg came out easily on both sides yet when I pounded it using a block of wood and a hammer it didn’t budge I don’t know if it’s lined up I will try the pin like John mentioned I will take a picture
  21. I tried tapping the tsuba with a block of wood and hammer but probably not as hard as I should I will take a picture
  22. The ends of the mekugi came out easily because it was broken. I did try the chopstick but no luck I think it’s wedged in pretty good I was thinking maybe a small Alan wrench ? Because what s left of the peg is inside Im afraid if it’s not in tang hole and not lined up I don’t want to force it out! Maybe im making it more complicated than it is
  23. I am perplexed because the wrapping was tight so I don’t know why the mekugi got broken? I will give it a try I don’t want to make it worse thanks Steve
