  1. Hello, please forgive the bad photos. I have only received these. But maybe someone will still manage to translate the two signatures. Many thanks for the effort in advance.
  2. I agree with you.
  3. Thank you, John. Very nice, but I think it's Gimei.
  4. Hello, can you please help me with the full translation of this mei? Thank you!
  5. Hi, I think it's a beautiful fuchi-kashira set. Is it possible for someone to say what species of bird this is ? :)))
  6. Oh, yes Jean. Now I see it. Thank you.
  7. I think it is oak as motif.
  8. Wtf, only AUD50 for gendai toko meikan book. very good price!
  9. Dee, I was wondering what motif the AKAO TSUBA tsuba represents? Is it nagekiri plant?
  10. What a great offer. A bargain.
  11. Thank you very much.
  12. Kaneie school, ca. 1800?
  13. Hello friends, I am not very familiar with Tsuba. Can someone please tell me in which school and age I can classify this tsuba?

  15. Sry, but I need help with the full translation of Boshi, Hamon, Hada. I recognize Suguha and Itame...
  16. Does anyone know if Akimaro is listed on toko taikan and what the rating is?
  17. Yes, I have seen the chip. But I still think it's a good offer. Does the sword come from the EU or do you have to pay customs duty?
  18. Hi Thomas, I don't know who is selling this sword, but my opinion is that 1600€ for a Gendaito in very good "black" mount, tassel and origami is a top offer. The polish seems to be original. Nice! The only negative is probably the new tsuka maki work (wrapping the handle), as it was made as a katana and not as a tachi. But that's just my opinion. Best regards Peter
  19. You're right, Bruce. But I was still hoping that experts might know more and be able to add something.
  20. This page might be interesting for those who have an Akimaro. http://daikudougu.web.fc2.com/nagasima.html
  21. Hello, I am looking for some more Information about the smith Akimaro. There isn’t much info available about him. His familyname ist Nagashima Heijiro. He was also a tool maker and his trade name was Nagashima Munenori. He studied under Kurihara Akihide at the Denshujo and became a Rikugun Jumei Tosho. He was from the Niigata area in northern Japan. He used one kanji from Akihide and one from Kiyomaro. Oddly, he wasn’t listed in Kurihara’s 1942 smith ranking nor any other list.
  22. Hidehiro was a very good smith. A small correction. He was the second son of the 2nd generation Muto Hisahiro.
  23. I have often seen this “Kiku-Sui” motif on Fuchi and Kashira and I think they are also civilian WW2 fittings. Have any of you ever seen the matching tsuba? https://buyee.jp/ite...VDNBYXN4ZXBzWUE2OD0= btw I haven't seen this kind of seppa with the leather lock and I think it's pretty cool. :-)
