Nibroc Posted April 17, 2019 Report Posted April 17, 2019 Having a hard time dating this sword. It is most likely made before WWII but whether it be Shinshinto period or as early as Nambokucho I can not say based on the present condition. Could anyone help me out with identifying the sword Quote
Ray Singer Posted April 17, 2019 Report Posted April 17, 2019 Authentic blade in very poor condition. Appears to be koto, possibly before Muromachi and ubu. Note the slender nakago, patina (where it is intact) and the low placement of the mekugi-ana. Please do nothing on your own to remove the corrosion. http://www.nbthk-ab.org/Etiquette.htm 1 Quote
