kingfish Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I was told this was a WW2 sword and thats about it. The blade looks really nice but has a very small nick at the end. This sword, I was told, has no markings or numbers whatsoever. Can someone please help me id this with a background and a value? I am interested in possibly purchasing it. Thanks a lot for any help Quote
drbvac Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Certainly not anywhere near enough pics to judge fully but based on the tsuba and the general appearance it is a fake or a late war product Quote
Brian Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 Like some of the other items it is lying on....I think it's a fake. Brian Quote
Lindus Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 Well judging by the mounts it not right, lets see the blade in full. Roy Quote
Bruno Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 I'd say late war and guenine. Value around 500 USD Quote
falconj Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 No view of the blade at all, but then the tsuba is not correct, binding on combat cover, is not correct, fuchi kashira are not correct, binding on the tsuka is very ununiform (if that's a word? Jean wordcheck please! ) I think it is Chinese replica rubbish, a fake sword, don't buy it and send your next intended purchase here for prior appraisal as well, it may take time, but may save you money, and heartache! regards John Quote
