My translation skills are now pretty rusty, plus the world of Teppo has no Fujishiro or Hawley to fall back on. Any help with both the inscriptions would be much appreciated.

On the stock I can see 二十二 and then 伴 治兵衛 昌芳

On the barrel 江州国友藤太郎 重當

Now, how to say those names in English!

Stock. Tomo(Suke) Nobu(?)hei Masayoshi (So many possible readings of the same Kanji...)

The barrel probably proclaims (Ohmi) Go-shu Kunitomo Fujitaro Juto (or Shigetomi)

Will check the books for possible more accurate readings this evening.

Found a record of the Daishi (gunstock)

maker. Listed as working in the Tempo

Era. The gunsmith name may be read not

Fujitaro, but Totaro. The final Juto (Shigetomi)?

is not in the lists and the closest I can find

recorded is Goshu Kunitomo Totaro Shigekiyo
