This time I have a regular length Katana that I can't Identify. I'm thinking ShinShinto era from the looks of it, but don't quote me on that. It's in rough condition. Also, does anyone know a great book or website that can help me translate, that way I don't have to keep coming back and wasting every one's time, besides the Sword index, it's down for me at the time. Thanks and any help you can give is appreciated.

Ohhh, thanks for that. Was looking into it for a friend. Glad I asked for assistance, you can never be to sure now day. Thanks for the quick response, and I'll make sure to steer clear of him. Thanks everyone.

Glad that I could help. Don't let this taint your, or your friends, opinion of Nihonto sales. There are many great sellers out there, many of which are members of this board. If your friend is interested in buying a genuine nihonto, have him take a look at our for sale section.

As Joe points out-the for sale section here is a great place to start.

There are many fine blades for sale right now, for very reasonable prices.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to check the Section of for sales here, I prefer O-Katana's myself, so we'll see what I can find. Thanks again, for helping me dodge that bullet.
