QuinnE Posted October 31, 2010 Author Report Posted October 31, 2010 for some reason the picture "side 2 - A" isn't automatically opening... just thought I'd mention it. Thanks again. Quote
QuinnE Posted October 31, 2010 Author Report Posted October 31, 2010 wow! thanks so much... is this the guy: Nagare Masayuki? http://books.google.com/books?id=WYaRX5 ... 44&f=false Quote
cabowen Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 wow! thanks so much... is this the guy: Nagare Masayuki? http://books.google.com/books?id=WYaRX5 ... 44&f=false Very doubtful. Can you post a picture of the nakago from a bit further away so we can see the whole of it? A few pictures of the blade would help as well... Quote
cabowen Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 These pictures are close to useless for any identification. How about something like this: Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Additional photos could prove me wrong, but yasurime lead me to believe this is seki blade. There was a seki tosho named Masayuki, 正行 (Masayuki), real name: 三輪 友雄; listed here (http://home.earthlink.net/~ttstein/seki.htm) at the top of the list. Once you get more photos, a more educated determination can be made, rather than my guess based on some poor pictures. Quote
QuinnE Posted November 1, 2010 Author Report Posted November 1, 2010 once I get the sword cleaned up, I'll get some better lighting and take some hi quality pics for you. Thank you so much for your help, just gimme like a week, I'm very busy between school and dojo :D Quote
cabowen Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 What a beautifull sword, Chris. Thanks! Here are a few more picts! Sadamune copy by deceased mukansa smith Enomoto Sadayoshi.... Quote
Bruno Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Sublime! Quinee, try to shot the same pictures of your sword. Quote
Grey Doffin Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Hi Quinn, Unless you're sure you know what you're doing, don't clean your sword. Improper cleaning can knock huge chunks of value off the sword. If it's covered in cosmoline you can wipe that off with a bit of alcohol on a cloth. Otherwise, best to leave it alone. Grey Quote
