Lindus Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 Shin Shinto, made to look like Koto. :D  Never in this world or any other, but made me smile. Thanks Roy Quote
paulb Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 David, not agreeing or disagreeing with your opinion but could you state your reasons for believing this is an aged shin-shinto blade? regards Paul Quote
David Flynn Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 seen a few done like this, made to look either Suriage or O'suriage. If you look at the machi's they look reasonably fresh, plus the placing of the signature. Also the way the hamon makes it look machiokuri. Plus the sugata where the blade meets the nakago. But I wouldn't bet my left testicle on it! :D Quote
runagmc Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 to me it looks like the nakago has heavier oxidation behind the original mekugi ana suggesting that the suriage may be ginuine. thats just how it looks to me, but im not the foremost expert by any means. Adam L. Quote
