satim19454 Posted September 2, 2010 Author Report Posted September 2, 2010 What about this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/Koto-Tachi-Tensho-K ... 415275b531 Quote
estcrh Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Timothy, it might help if you said what it is that you are looking for...just any sword?, many people here are reluctant to recommend or comment on an ebay sword especially to someone with very little experience. It might help if you told a little bit about yourself...do not be suprised if you are told to spend the money on some books and to do some studying if you have little or no experience with nihonto. Grey Doffin Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 This last has a terribly distressed nakago and a terrible polish. Notice how the yokote are different angles from side to side, and rounded over, not sharp. Either the polish makes the blade look tired or it is tired. Why are you asking what we think of these? satim19454 Posted September 2, 2010 Author Report Posted September 2, 2010 Are these items real? Im more interested in the history or the supposed history rather than the beauty. i treat them more as artifacts rather than art (no rust of course). and do you think there worth the money i bought the Tanto and put a max bid on the katana of 1000 Quote
estcrh Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 They appear to be real...if by real you mean nihonto, but you would be doing your self a favor I believe if you posted an add in the wanted section here first before looking on ebay. Quote
satim19454 Posted September 2, 2010 Author Report Posted September 2, 2010 lol, yea that would be a good idea. I forgot there was a buy/sell forum Quote
estcrh Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 I have seen some nice swords for sale recently for very reasonably prices and not only would you have a good samurai relic but also a sword you could learn from and expand your knowledge. Quote
