sensei215 Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Good Evening I have been offered the attached gendaito and could use a little help. The mounts are in excellant condition and the blade is very clean. I must admit that I always seem to have trouble when trying to translate a 20th century blade. I would appreciate a translation and any information that is available on the sword smith. http://yfrog.com/j8gendai1j Best regards, Sensei215 Tim S Quote
cabowen Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 I can't tell you how much easier it would be to help if you posted a working link.... Quote

Tsugio Kawakami Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 BiShu Ju MaNo MasaYasu Kitau Kore? Could be completely wrong, though. Quote
george trotter Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 That is correct...he was a reasonably good smith of Aichi. I have seen his blades reasonably often...see Slough p. 108 for three oshigata, both shoshinmei and nakirishimei. Regards, George Quote
sensei215 Posted May 28, 2010 Author Report Posted May 28, 2010 I would like to thank all of you for your help. It is a really great for you to share your expertise so freely. If I can close the deal I will post photos of the sword. There are actually several more and I am trying to work a deal within my meager budget. Best regards, Tim S Quote
