Good Evening

I have been offered the attached gendaito and could use a little help. The mounts are in excellant condition and the blade is very clean. I must admit that I always seem to have trouble when trying to translate a 20th century blade. I would appreciate a translation and any information that is available on the sword smith.

That is correct...he was a reasonably good smith of Aichi. I have seen his blades reasonably often...see Slough p. 108 for three oshigata, both shoshinmei and nakirishimei.

I would like to thank all of you for your help. It is a really great for you to share your expertise so freely. If I can close the deal I will post photos of the sword. There are actually several more and I am trying to work a deal within my meager budget.

Best regards,

Tim S
