Tsuba ID

[Bonhomme]

I recently got this tsuba and wanted your opinions on it. I'm not into it for much and like the design, so if it's not authentic that's OK and won't feel like I got scammed.

 

It seems to not have perfect shapes/lines like a cheap cast tsuba and I don't see any cast lines. If it's a repop, some effort was put in to make it look handmade.

 

Anyway, what do you think?

It looks ubu to me - HIGO school perhaps just going on the hitsu shapes [easily could be wrong on that] The second image has papers for Shoami school.

More towards Shoami.

 

 

It might be just the two photos, but the tsuba seems to have some condition issues? 

Third photo looks fine, so I am left uncertain of the condition of the tsuba.

Hard to say from images 1 and 2, but image 3 on the mimi/rim I seem to see nice layers in the metal, so I would say forged not cast.

Also a few interesting tooling marks around the top right sukashi.

Just from the pictures, I get an impression of a neglected IAITO TSUBA. For a safer assessment, I would have to see it in-hand.
