Christie's Long Shot...

I am trying to find the results of the Christie's auction linked here (http://www.christies.com/LotFinder/lot_ ... rev&page=5) This comes up in google, but does not link to the auction. The title is "A Higo katana Edo period (17th century), signed Kawachi [No] Kami Minamoto Nagakuni". Thanks and I understand if the well is dry here.

Reading over this, I neglected to state what I was looking for. I am trying tobtain information about the auction. Specs on the sword, sales price, and photos. Is there a way to request this information or does someone on the board here maintain a listing of the Christie's auctions? Thanks much.

I have a feeling the sword was not sold as it is not listed in the results section of Christie's sale 2296, #554 which would also explain why you could not access the link from google.com. I would imagine someone here (possibly Curran), might have a copy of the catalog which would show the estimates. here is the page of the results:

Thank you so much Pete. I have been scouring the internet trying to find this darned auction. Hopefully Curran or others can chime in with pre-auction estimates, but if not this is great. Too bad about the small picture though.

No prob Joe. Curran doesn't have that catalog so possibly someone else on the board does or you can pick it up on Ebay or through one of the catalog dealers like catalogkid.com.
