Clive Sinclaire Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Gentlemen I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction. I am researching for a magazine article and am interested in finding out what swords were carried by any of the 47 ronin in the revenge attack on Lord Kira. I know a couple which are a Rai Kunitoshi and a Kanemitsu but that is all. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Regards Clive Sinclaire Quote
Maurice_lmb Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Hi Clive, There were an article from Albert YAMANAKA. http://home.earthlink.net/%7Esteinrl/ronin.htm Hope it helps. Maurice Quote
sanjuro Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Clive there is a bit on the net about this and I remember having seen an article on all the swords carried by the 47 Ronin. Googling is always good, but in the meantime I'll see if I kept the article or the reference on google. Try Elliot Long's site, Shoshin. I think that may be where I found it. Quote
Aloof Pegasus Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Hello Clive I'll duck into the museum next day or so and see what swords are listed in the exhibits. Have a feeling there's a flyer about it but could be wrong. Always glad of the excuse to put down another Y150's worth of incense. Quote
Clive Sinclaire Posted May 7, 2010 Author Report Posted May 7, 2010 Gentlemen Thanks very much for the very useful input. I had tried to Google search without much success but I will drop Ron Hartmann a line for permission to quote from his Yamanaka note. Please put Yen 150's worth of insense down for me Phillip and I'll owe you a drink. Regards Clive Sinclaire Quote
Rich S Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Clive - Probably good to email Ron, but since he allowed me to post it on my website to share with the world, I don't see any problem. Just be sure he is given credit which I'm sure you would anyway. Rich S Quote
