I hope it wasn’t already posted but here it goes The signature looks like looks similar to MANTETSU ? Any way here it is I think it’s traditional hard to see the hamon I will try and get better ones It’s the same seller

You should be able to figure this one out by yourself. The kanji are really easy kanji to see and draw and are commonly used with few strokes. 

 

I'd recommend https://kanji.sljfaq.org

 

...as well as "Translating Mei" tool we have here:

It will only make you more capable if you do this yourself because you ask about a LOT of swords here and many of them have very easy mei to read.

What you should have said is, “I hope it wasn’t already posted in a more appropriate section of the forum…” I didn’t see it in the translation or Military section, so you’re good! :laughing:

 

It’s signed 村上治久 - Murakami Haruhisa and dated Spring 1944. Too bad you didn’t see it sooner. The seller actually increased the price from when they first listed it. I would not make assumptions about it being traditionally made.

I said I think it was I should have said similar 

I was coping and pasted the Mei and clicked on the photo as I did before but for some reason it wouldn’t work I just have to learn how to read it 

but thanks for the heads up
