errant-artifacts Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 It has been brought to my attention that I may have misused this discussion board. I work at an auction hall and my consignors have brought these pieces to me and I needed some legitimate help. I do thank you all for your quick concise help, and apologize if this was misleading. In the future I will only use this board to advance my own personal collection. Quote
Mark Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Chris Not a problem. It might be kind to let us know what the information will be used for when you post the question. Most of us are happy to help but we like to know in advance what the purpose is, that way we can decide about answering. If it is a simple question it does not take much to reply, but to spend valuble personal time to help a new person interested in swords (we all want to fan the flame of someone who is interested in learning about and collecting swords) is a bit more fulfilling than helping someone make a few extra dollars Quote
Brian Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Chris, I don't think people will mind assisting, just as long as you state the purpose up front. We are a pretty decent bunch when given all the correct info No harm done, and thanks for explaining. Brian Quote
errant-artifacts Posted March 29, 2010 Author Report Posted March 29, 2010 Thank you for your time and understanding. I am very interested in learning about Japanese blades, however I always seem to buy the duds lol, and the auction hall always seems to get the good ones... So I thank you in advance for all of your help. Quote
