cluckdaddy76 Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 I have been trying to identify the theme of this tsuba, but am at a loss. It is 79 X 79 mm diameter with a 4.2 mm thickness. The only note I have on this one stated it may be Owari, I was thinking Kanayama may be a possibility too. It appears to have been set more than once. I appreciate any info on the theme or school if anyone cares to comment. Jason 1 Quote
ROKUJURO Posted August 12 Report Posted August 12 Jason, that looks like REISHO character (Sino-Japanese script) to me. Quote
Nobody Posted August 12 Report Posted August 12 I guess that it is a kanji 草 (kusa – grass) in tensho style. 4 1 2 Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted August 12 Report Posted August 12 By extension, the Kusa kanji may be a Mon, for a family name such as Kusanagi. Quote
