David Flynn Posted August 10 Report Posted August 10 I was told, the de-registration period, has been increased to 4wks. Anyone able to elaborate on this? 1 1 Quote
Rawa Posted August 10 Report Posted August 10 Sure 2-4 weeks. Never noticed longer term. Still all depends when prefecture will get notice about selling sword. 1 Quote
Kjell Magnusson Posted August 19 Report Posted August 19 It may take a bit more than 4 weeks. I bought a sword back in May, got an e-mail that they had received the payment and were about to apply for the export permit on the 20th. I got a mail that they had gotten the permit on the 15th of July, so 8 weeks. There might also be some issues with shipping, at least with some carriers to some places, as instead of a mail with the tracking number I eventually got a mail on the 24th that some of their UPS shipments to Europe are being held in Japan for some reason. So they'll wait to send mine until it's been determined that it's actually safe to do so, and that's the last I've heard of it. Quote
klee Posted August 19 Report Posted August 19 I ve bought swords from Aoi and they take 4 to 6 weeks for the permit. But I ve also bought from Touken Komachi and they have always had it ready in 2 weeks. Quote
