Authentic NCO Sword?

Hey everyone! I’ve never owned one of these last ditch pineapple grip NCO swords. Just wanting expert opinion before I buy to make sure it’s authentic! From my untrained eyes, it looks like the serial numbers match too. Thanks for your help!

Looks like a nice genuine example to me Ron.

 

These are certainly not Nihonto but they are a piece of history.  This last pattern is less common than earlier patterns and therefore desirable among collectors to 'complete' their collections of Type 95's

yeah i'm missing a pineapple in my gunto collection, I have a couple of copper but no pineapple

Paradoxically, I think these end-of-war NCO swords look much better and closer to late war officers' swords than earlier NCO swords did.

It's mostly as it's been my lowest priority purchase. I must admit I don't often look for them but if I spot one in good condition for the right price I'll grab it.
