Paul Martin Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Don't carry them in the boot of your car unbagged and easily accessible, or wear gaudy tracksuits and speak using lots of r's, you could get in trouble with the Japanese police. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcOojlo2 ... div-f-5-HM Quote
John A Stuart Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 And didn't he look totally innocent, just. Funny one Paul. John Quote
Takahashi Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 The video is quite funny - although I understand why the Japanese government is so strict about swords. They can be deadly weapons and are sometimes still used for this purpose in modern times. There was for example the assasination of Asanuma Inejiro (Japanese politician) in 1960. http://www.worldpressphoto.org/index.ph ... dwidth=low http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inejiro_Asanuma Cheers! Bugyotsuji Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 It won't let me watch it... " この動画は非公開です。" We have to be quite careful down here too. :| With swords and/or guns in the car, they have to be wrapped up, and you really have to have an immediate reason for them being there, such as: "I am on my way to sell them/have them appraised by xyz", etc. No good being vague.
