kissakai
I've attached a tsuba mei - a bit blurry I couldn't find it in Haynes but looking at Sesko's book it looked like a match The Masa or yoshi tsuba kanji where not the expected form although I know how much they can vary Would someone let me know the correct kanji for this mei
Bugyotsuji
正義 is the ‘correct’ form. A shorthand scribble for Masa is very common. Yoshi also has many versions of the Kanji.

Bugyotsuji
There are websites which collect examples of old brushwork characters for each Kanji. This is a real problem for Japanese people too. If you suspect it might be Masa, for example, you can go compare.
