Blade 2 of 2 from auction

This is my first tanto. In a lot rougher shape than my previous blade posted and is mumei. 
 

I’ve never had a blade that was so thick. I believe it is a yoroi-doshi.

can anyone confirm? Anyone have any idea what time period it’s from?

Btw, this is a mitsumune which often indicates something interesting. Please don't do anything at all to clean the rust on either of your new purchases and hold them until a professional polisher can evaluate for restorability.

I’ve only taken 99% alcohol and a rag to the blade (not the nagako). This is acceptable right?

Don’t forget to oil after cleaning with alcohol.
