Stephen Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 Go-to 17track.net https://about.17track.net/en/?from=app A package I sent to Hamburg Germany stop showing up on USPS after Frankfort. After talking to a postal family member she gave me 17 track.net. Seems the package was handed off to DHL. Hope this helps in your tracking woes. 1 Quote
Brian Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 Did you ever have any luck with that one? or is it still missing in action? 1 Quote
Stephen Posted July 25, 2023 Author Report Posted July 25, 2023 We talked about it in messenger Quote
Brian Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 Guys in Germany...when you have lost incoming post, who are the contacts you reach out to? There must be "connections" that can do more than just shrug and shake their heads? Parcels can't just enter Germany and then disappear....but I guess they do. Frankfort, you guys worry me. You seem to steal and damage stuff as much as the US postal guys have been doing lately. Who can someone make inquiries with that will actually type something into a pc somewhere? Quote
dimitri Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 The problem is all over europe, the French customs when there is a problem tries to get in touch with the sender, the recipient may call, try to solve the problem, if the customs cannot get the sender in the best case block the package, in the worst case send it back. I knew the second version and it is not funny. The German recipient had to call or at least try I hope for you and for the object? Quote
Stephen Posted July 25, 2023 Author Report Posted July 25, 2023 Have you tracked yours Dimitri? Quote
dimitri Posted July 30, 2023 Report Posted July 30, 2023 Yes @Stephen I had his follow-up, he left Hiroshima for Osaka, Paris, Tokyo, Paris, Tokyo and Hiroshima and ended up returning to the sender. I called chronopost, French customs, sent emails to the sender, nothing worked. Chronopost even told me that there were customs charges even though he had gone back to Japan.... Mail with registered mail to chronopost to complain, no response from them until an email to French customs who found shady to have customs fees for a package that did not enter but without follow-up, everyone does not care, fortunately the seller refunded me and do not understand either why all this to see the package return, everything was in order. Since then I no longer buy anything that comes from Japan too scared. Quote
dimitri Posted July 30, 2023 Report Posted July 30, 2023 For now, they are still in the United States. Ready to go to Paris. Normally it shouldn't take long. It was for a Wakizashi my story, you understand why I am suspicious for Japan, not for the Japanese but for French customs. Seppa shouldn't be a problem in theory. Quote
